This small, but reverberant church had problems with it's existing sound system which was a combination of hi-fi speakers and a factory amplifier. Obviously the sound quality was lacking somewhat with speech being rattled around the building and not being heard where it was needed.

This was a result of the speakers being of the wrong sort for the system and building, plus they were installed bolt upright way above seated head height where their coverage was required. Our solution was to replace them with Bose Panaray MA12 line source column speakers which produce a wide flat beam of sound across the pews.
The amplification was changed to a digital audio mixer and power amplifier which enables sophisticated settings to be made in order to optimise the sound system, yet give the parish priest a simple to operate system. In the event of unauthorised adjustment of the controls, the system reverts back to saved settings when it is powered up, a great feature which eliminates another common church sound problem. Both clergy and congregation are pleased with the huge improvements.
